Steve Goodman (July 25, 1948 September 20, 1984) was an American folk music singer-songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. The writer of "City of New Orleans", made popular by Arlo Guthrie, Goodman won two Grammy Awards. Goodman also wrote the infamous, "You Never Call Me by my Name, " made famous by David Allen Coe, along with two other Cubs tunes, "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request," and "When the Cubs Go Marching in." This video was part of Jimmy Buffett's DVD, "Live at Wrigley Field," taped in 2005, and he can be seen throughout the video.
